Welding Technician

UEI College Welding training program can provide you the necessary skills needed for an entry-level position in as little as 10 months. You will learn about the procedures and equipment required to weld using industry standard tools and the techniques employed by different companies. When you graduate, you will have a solid foundation of skills and knowledge to continue growing your skillset.

Throughout the Welding trade program, students will learn the skills and knowledge they need to work in manufacturing and industrial settings. Students will learn the varying processes and fabrication skills including A/C D/C shielded arc welding, oxyacetylene cutting, gas metal arc welding, gouging, tungsten gas inert welding, pipe welding, and flux core welding.

Other subjects taught in our program include safe and efficient work practices, identifying metals, reading blueprints, and basic shop skills. This program does require lab activities and students will gain hands-on experience in the lab. You can expect to utilize the different welding techniques in the lab and put your skills to the test. Through a combination of lectures and labs, students will gain in-demand industry skills and will be able to achieve CPR/First Aid training and OSHA 10 safety training.
