In light of recent disasters and world events, it is increasingly important for criminal justice administrators, first responders, government officials, and organizations to understand how to manage critical incidents, psychological aspects of disasters, hazard mitigation, and risk identification. Our online criminal justice degree programs prepare our students to do specifically this. Saint Leo University's criminal justice program director has nearly 30 years of varied investigative experience, and is known nationally among law enforcement at local, state, and federal agency levels.

The online curriculum, as outlined below, is designed for individuals who have an interest in understanding the role behavioral studies has in the field of criminal justice. The area of behavioral studies plays an important role in the investigation of criminal offenses. This online course will focus on the way that criminal behavior and the criminal code interact together to solve some of the world’s most heinous, violent criminal acts, clinical aspects of behavioral disorders as they impact individuals and criminal behavior, the use of behavioral cues when conducting interviews, and the important function of how these cues work within the courts system. In order to earn the degree with the behavioral studies specialization, a student must successfully complete the five core courses, the four behavior studies courses and two elective courses.

As one of the leading military colleges in the United States, Saint Leo University has educated criminal justice professionals for more than three decades. In the Catholic spirit, we base our criminal justice model on a steadfast moral consciousness that recognizes the dignity, value, and gifts of all people.
