Platt College

Associate of Science in Culinary Arts

If you are passionate about food, like working with your hands and would take satisfaction in seeing others enjoying your creations, our Culinary Arts college could be the right program for you.

With our Culinary Arts college training, you can learn from professional chefs in our commercial style kitchens and learn to create a variety of dishes using cooking styles from around the world. Blending both new and traditional preparation and cooking methods, our Culinary Arts program is designed to make you an asset in restaurants and kitchens across the country.

Along with classroom lectures and practice session in our kitchens, you can also have the opportunity to learn in the externship portion of the program where your training takes you on an assignment at local area restaurants and/or commercial eateries for real-world experience. Our students can also gain experience working in one of our institution-owned dining establishments: The Union, Chefs Di Domani, and Foundations.

As one of the only American Culinary Federation accredited culinary schools in Oklahoma, and an approved practical test site for ACF certifications, former graduates of this program and others working in the culinary field are able to prepare for certifications on site at Platt College.
