Northcentral University’s Master of Arts in Psychology with a specialization in Sport Psychology develops the skills and the personal and professional growth required for effective practice in the field of sport psychology. In this specialization, you will critically analyze a broad range of theories and practical knowledge in sport psychology. An integrated learning experience, you will have the opportunity to engage in field work and supervision. The specialization complies with the eight knowledge areas as required for the Certification Council for the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC). This training prepares you for applied sport psychology work in a variety of settings, such as youth and recreational sports facilities, high school athletics, collegiate athletic departments, professional sports organizations, and private practice.
