Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership

Northcentral University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership program will help students prepare for leadership roles within a variety of healthcare delivery organizations. This is a practice-based program designed to align with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials and the nurse leader competencies from the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE). Students will explore key topics such as organizational leadership, financial management strategies, healthcare economics, informatics in healthcare delivery and patient advocacy. Students will also learn how to use data and technological resources for decision-making. Additionally, this program includes 500 practice experience hours in conjunction with an evidenced-based research project designed to offer hands-on experience.

To enroll, students must have, and maintain throughout the program, a current, active and unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN).
