As our reliance on computers increases and technology grows more sophisticated, the need for cybersecurity professionals becomes more important to protect users and keep personal information out of the hands of hackers and safe from cyber threats. You can work to prepare to tackle this threat in the Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity with an Information Assurance Concentration.

In this program, you will study programming languages like C++, Python and SQL, as well as UNIX operating systems. You will also examine database systems and security architecture. In addition to a core computer science curriculum, you will be exposed to the fundamentals of cybersecurity—network security, computer forensics, disaster recovery, cloud security, compliance—in order to build an understanding of the risk that company’s face as owners of internal and consumer information.
