Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy - ABA Track

The M.A. Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy program provides strong preparation in the development of essential diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative skills from a systemic and relational context. Students are prepared to work with a variety of clinical populations, including individuals, couples, families, children, and groups that span the developmental spectrum, as well as with a variety of emotional, intellectual, and psychological conditions and disorders. The program has adopted the practitioner-scholar model, based on the belief that a competent mental health practitioner must have both a broad knowledge of the scientific and theoretical principles in the clinical practice of Marriage and Family Therapy and the ability to apply that knowledge to specific clinical situations. The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) track prepares students to also work in the growing field of ABA, serving a variety of individuals, including those who may have diagnoses such as autism, behavioral difficulties, developmental disabilities, mental illness, and a variety of geriatric conditions.
