Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning (Online)

Due to the ever-evolving technological advancements and innovations and the movement toward remote and online learning and training, the Educational Psychology and Technology (EPT) program proposes the establishment of a certificate focused on preparing educators, trainers, and other professionals to work effectively in online and remote settings. This online certificate will encompass nine credit hours of graduate-level coursework. These courses are currently available as a concentration in the MA Psychology program. This 9-credit hour online certificate focuses on preparing educators, trainers, and other professionals to work effectively in online and remote settings. Students will experience transformative learning experiences in which they gain the expertise to:

  • Implement best practices of online teaching and learning.
  • Align their courses to learning outcomes.
  • Incorporate Universal Design principles into their curriculum.
  • Evaluate innovative technologies to integrate into their courses.
  • Consider issues of accessibility and equity in underserved populations.
